The Green and Gold Sherwani

Bhagat Pal Singh came to us with two pictures and a very clear idea. He knew the green, he knew where the gold should fall, and he was precise about every line of the sketch. Our work was to make it exactly so.

In January 2026, he wore it to his wedding. This is how it was made.

Chapter I · The vision

Two pictures and a clear idea

Bhagat brought us two references and knew exactly what he wanted from them: a deep green sherwani, with the gold gathered at the collar, down the front and around the hem.

Chapter II · The colour

His green, his choice

He chose his shade himself, from our thread card, so the embroidery and the cloth would sit in exactly the green he had in mind.

Chapter III · On paper

Drawn to the line

Bhagat was precise about the sketch, and we drew it to match: a motif designed to his brief, then the full front laid out at scale, line by line.

Chapter IV · Swatches

Seen before it was made

Before the full sherwani, we made embroidery swatches so he could see the work for real, compare the options side by side, and watch the colour go in.

Chapter V · On the frame

Gold, by hand

Then the front was stretched on the adda and the gold worked in by hand, border by border, until the panels matched the sketch.

Chapter VI · Finishing

One last look

Every seam and every motif was checked once more, with the sherwani laid out in full, before it left our hands.

The Green and Gold Sherwani

The Green and Gold Sherwani

“It was a great experience while working with Yeshan. It’s not like you have given your order and you will just receive the delivery. It was like proper execution with prior approvals at each and every stage. I got my wedding sherwani designed by just sharing pictures of it, while I was very particular about the fabric, dabka work, thread colours, density of work on it etc. They not only fulfilled my requirement, rather they delivered far better than my expectation at a reasonable price tag. What you will get at famous designers can be easily done at Yeshan. They will become famous designers if they consistently work with this passion. Highly recommended.”
